The Rules

Just follow these simple rules and there should be no problems at all!!!

General Board Rules:[/u]

• Follow the ToS of Proboards. We doubt all of you have read them, but use common sense. You know what's appropriate and what isn't. If you really have to question it, ask an admin or don't do it.
  
• As proboards has just told me, no proboards site is allowed to be rated M, or NC-17. So no mature content allowed on this website! Take it to skype chats if you must, but NO ADULT MATERIAL allowed!
  
• Don't go overboard with your language. People like Prussia and Romano have foul mouths, and that's fine... As long as you're staying in-character. What we're trying to say is, try not to swear too much yourself, and keep language to a minimum in the chats. We're aware that this is a pirate board, but that doesn't mean we have to talk like one.
  
• Forum games go in Tortuga. That would be the spam forum for those of you who didn't get it.
  
• Don't flame each other, really. We're all here to have fun. Let's act like it.
  
• If you are confused at all with the templates, don't hesitate to ask one of the admins for help. There are some amazing applications in the acceptance board, so be sure to glance at those, first.
  
• There will be Activity Checks at the beginning of every month, and we will freeze accounts if you do not attend these checks. (Unless, of course, you aren't around. Just make sure to tell the forum before hand if your going to be inactive for a while!)
  
• For every Activity Check, you will be required to post the last post each of your characters have made. This is because some characters are never being role played, which really isn't fair to people waiting on threads.

[/li][li] If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time, or are just too busy with life to post PLEASE POST A HIATUS THREAD UNDER THE SHIPS UNDER REPAIR SECTION OF THE FORUM!!
[/li][li] If you do not follow the rules of putting up a hiatus thread, you will only have three chances. If you are frozen three times due to not posting a hiatus or not filling out the activity check, we can and will disallow you from re-taking that character.
[/li][li]This forum is for canon only - meaning, no genderbends, chibis, nekos etc. Only in the Seabox are these sort of things permitted.[/color]

Character Sign Up:[/u]

• When signing up for a character, make sure they are not taken yet before signing up. The list of taken characters is basically what's in a) the accepted applications section and b) under the claim list!
  
• If you just joined and don't have time to do an application, you can reserve characters by going under the 'Pirates of the Land and Sky' section and claiming in the claims thread. However, we only give you seven days to finish an application.
  
• CHARACTER LIMIT is 4. That's a mix of canon and original, nothing more, nothing less.
  
• When you create a character, it's up to you to contact a captain about joining their crew. Captains will be decided by admins only. Please mark your application and say that you are a crew member. This can only be edited if an admin makes you a captain, or if you join a crew and are promoted to a titled position.
  
• If you are only a crew member, edit your application once you are accepted into a crew to the crew in question. (I.E: The name, see accepted applications for examples if you are confused.)
  
• There is a new rule for the application password! It is a sentence hidden in the rules. Each word will be written in italic and just piece them together to get the magic sentence! Then PM England with the hidden password and you are one step closer to being accepted! Also, the password will change at random, so please make sure to check back on the rules before you apply for a new character.

Roleplaying:[/u]

• Keep it IN CHARACTER, people. OOC notes are fine in posts, but if you're going to talk, take it to the seabox or a general chat thread. If your notes are longer than your post, we've got a problem.
  
• For the love of all that is holy, NO GOD-MODDING! If you are a character, then just play your character. NPC's are fine to control, but you CANNOT control someone else's character.
  
• You CANNOT kill a character that is not yours, unless you have the permission of the person whom is using them and an admin must be notified before it happens VIA PM.
  
• I you want to keep your characters, you MUST post at least ONCE every week with at least one of your characters. (Unless you have notified that you will be gone for longer via the Ships Under Repair section)
  
• If you do not post once every week in a ROLEPLAY, you will be warned. If it continues, you will lose your character. You are free to re-apply for the character you lost, but only a week before it's up for grabs.
  
• We suggest you only be a member of one crew at a time, as from examples previous, it gets very hard to play two of your characters at once.
  
• When posting, please write at least two paragraphs per-post. They don't have to be novels or super elaborate, but at least three sentences each. We all know it's frustrating when we work hard on a post only to get a single line in reply. Give back what's given to you guys!
  
• Being on the seabox does not mean you are being active. You must be playing your character in game for you to be considered active.
  
• The Seabox and High Adventures thread are NOT APPLICABLE TO THE PAIRINGS LIST. Any pairing is acceptable on these areas only.
