The early-morning air felt wonderful on the child's skin. Eyes hidden behind a white half-mask, a present from his most beloved Father. He said it made the boy look fierce and strong, and beautiful all at once. Quickly the child moved through the garden, racing with the clouds and dwindling stars and cool breeze. It was good to be young and free, to be able to laugh at the stars and clouds and all of nature, to see the world as so vast but so full of lovely life. Everyone was a friend to you when you were young, no one was your enemy, except for playground rivals. And even they were friends.
The first of his friends to join him was a massive wolf. A creature which leapt almost silently through the garden, the only sound giving it away being the clatter of claws against stone. It reached the child, and opened its jaws, as if to bite the boy, but instead it's tongue lashed out and licked his face. Sadiq giggled, wrapping both arms around the thick fur of the creature's neck, rubbing it energetically. "Reee. Remus was one of his best friends, he was nice and cheerful and he always played well. He liked to run with him, and he could play fetch and hide and go seek, but he was very bad at hiding.
"Ree, where's Papa?"
The wolf tilted it's head to one side, as if to indicate that it didn't know. The young Turk knew he was lying though. "Come on Ree, let's go find Papa~" The wolf's face lit up, they were playing hide and seek with Master? Oh he was good at Hide and Seek. Off they raced back into the manor, down the halls, Sadiq following at Remus' heels as the wolf tracked it's master down to his room. There he waited for the boy to catch up, and as the masked child peered in he found himself giggling.
"Shhh, be really quiet Ree, Papa's sleeping."
Even though he didn't intend to let him stay that way for long. Carefully both boy and wolf crept across the floor, moving as quietly as they could. This was going to be so much fun. "Ready Ree? Three...Two..." At the shout of "ONE!" They both launched into the air, Remus landing on the other side of the bed, Sadiq landing right on top of his father. "PAPA, Papa wake up, it's time to get up the sun is risen and it wants to play." He was bouncing up and down lightly on the man, waiting for him to wake up so they could play.
