(I blame this title on Spain completely. -goes to yt the movie- And I hope this is okay? OTL;; )
"This is all your fault. I want you to know." Afonso hissed, staying crouched behind a stack of boxes, listening to the heavy footsteps as soldiers ran by. A breath he didn't realize he had been holding escaped, the Portuguese man relaxing slightly as he ran a hand through his hair. Only to frown again when he remembered he had lost his ribbon and hair tie while they had been essentially running for their lives. Just great. "And you owe me a new ribbon."
He would ignore how girly that sounded, as well as deny it if the Spaniard commented. Really though it had been both their fault. Antonio had suggested getting off the ship when they had docked. Afonso had been all for getting some fresh air in hopes of helping his head. And he had been the one to suggest joining in on one of the dice games when they passed by some locals playing it (honestly, Cái was rubbing off on him). He just hadn't expected they would get caught with the loaded dice. Nor did he expect they would have to create a diversion themselves before running from soldiers.
Rubbing his throbbing forehead he stood, making sure the coast was clear before glancing back down at the Captain. Unable to help himself from rolling his eyes. It looked like Antonio had ignored him completely. "Are you listening to me?"

Listening? Not exactly. Antonio was the type of person who craved adventure. And they had just had that. Leaning back against the wall, he grinned like an idiot and tossed the loaded dice in his hands, lolling his head to the side to look at his big brother-figure. "Ahaha ~ that was so fun, hermano!"
Holding out his hands for the other to pull him to his feet, Antonio looked around. "Where did those guys go--and did you get the map?"

A small snort escaped Afonso as he rolled his eyes. Of course that would be the first thing Antonio would say, and ask. Taking the others hand he pulled him up, before promptly pulling his "little brother" into a headlock and giving him a noogie. "Of course I grabbed the map. What kind of navigator do you think I am!"
A grin formed as he ignored any protests Antonio made, continuing to give him a noogie before finally letting go, pulling a rolled up map from his back pocket.

Antonio flailed under his brother's grip, giggling rather like a child before untangling himself from his hold and teasing, "Not a very good one!"
For some reason, he always knew just how to grind Afonso's gears. He wasn't quite sure where he had learned this fabulous skill, but there was no reason to complain. It was almost like he was an irritating little brother, or something. And teasing him about navigation always seemed to be the right one.
Brushing that off before he got a pop to the head, Antonio grabbed the map and looked it over. A stolen map to a city of gold. "This is really it--it's real, hermano, I'm sure of it!"

Just as Antonio had anticipated, Afonso automatically bristled upon the indication that he wasn't a good navigator. Glaring sharply at him and resisting the urge to pull him into another head lock and beat the living daylights out of him. Really, it was times like this Afonso knew exactly what it was like to have a younger, annoying, brother. "I'm a fine navigator!"
He only got them lost once... Or twice. When the map was snatched from him he continued to glare irritably, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned against one of the stacked boxes. Automatically though he wanted to agree with Antonio that the map had to be real, that it would lead them to the fabled city of gold...
Of course, the more logical part of his mind took over before he could. "It could be fake though. We have no was to be sure this is actually real... Or if El Dorado's real for that matter."

Antonio's jaw dropped and he grabbed Afonso's hands, then gestured at hte map. "Hermano! I should disown you how could you say such a thing?!"
He'd just called him brother again. Barely even noticing it, he shook his navigator's hands excitedly, grinning like an idiot. "This is it! We are going to finally--finalmente, Afonso, finalmente!-find the next part of the legendary treasure!"
Antonio jumped up, letting out a crow of delight. And that? That was a very dumb move. Because a soldier spotted him.
"There's the theives! Get them!"

An amused smile formed at Antonio's excitement. It was contagious almost, and soon he found himself laughing. "Well, well, maybe you're right irma-"
He caught himself, this time before he called him 'brother' again. Why did he keep doing that? Antonio wasn't his actual brother. Even if Afonso viewed him as one. And from the way Antonio kept referring to him as 'hermano', he wondered if Antonio felt the same. Shrugging it off though he glanced at him when he heard the captain crow in delight. That made Afonso laugh more, at least until the soldier spotted him.
"Merda!" He cursed grabbing Antonio's wrist and took off, running as fast as he could.

It wasn't his fault he'd gotten so caught up in his excitement; they had the map to the city of Gold! Antonio tucked it into his jacket pocket and rushed down the alley way, clutching his brother's hands. The ship was too far away at this point, too far for them to get to without getting caught. Spotting a smaller dock, Antonio positively grinned and called, "Afoonso, I have an idea!"

Afonso risked a glance over his shoulder, cursing mildly when he saw they were still being chased. And they were no where near the docks. When he took note of Antonio's grin, he couldn't help but raise and eyebrow (and nearly tripped over his feet). Part of him wondered if he would regret asking just what this idea was. "And that would be!?"

"Let's steal a ship!"
Okay, so Antonio could be a bonehead sometimes. A lot of the times. This was starting to seem like one of them. He gave Afonso his brightest grin, like he had just thought of the greatest idea ever. "It's perfect! We can steal a ship--I've been wanting to add to the fleet anyway--and then you could captain it! As...as a co-captain, or something!"
Dashing down the docks with the navigator, he laughed, looking over his shoulder, "We'll get away, and get new treasure--ahaha, está perfecto!"

"Let's steal a ship!" This time Afonso did trip over his own feet, catching himself from face planting on the ground with a hand, and promptly pushing himself back up. In a second he was back to running, letting Antonio (who he had a feeling hadn't even noticed his trip) drag him towards the docks.
"A ship." He repeated, staring blankly at his bonehead of a little brother figure and Captain. "You want to steal a ship, with just the two of us?"
