It was official, Henry was horribly lost. For the first time in several years his maps had failed him, and had dumped him out in the middle of the wilderness. The land still bore scars from bomb strikes years ago, although there were plants growing in them now. It was a beautiful wilderness, but that didn't make being lost any better. He looked around, as if hoping to spot some landmark he recognized, or some place he could pick out on his map. Of course there were none. The path he'd taken had changed considerably since he'd first made the map several years before when he first started traveling.
He had finally convinced a ship to take him back to Europe, where he planned on finding a more stable crew to join for the time being. Of course, all plans for that had been stopped the minute the path, which had only been streight before, forked off in two directions. This had immediately confused him, throwing off his sense of direction entirely. From then on out he'd had nothing but rotten luck. He wondered if he'd crossed paths with any black cats, but that came up negative. He would have noticed a black feline in these parts, there were no cats like that in the wild.
He chuckled to himself, saying calmly "Fine mess you've gotten yourself into this time Henry." He should have known better than to assume things had gone unchanged since he'd last come here. There was nothing but trees and grass and a wild nothingness. He imagined he wouldn't be making it to any towns before sundown. He had chosen the wrong path. He wondered if he should head back, but he quickly put an end to those thoughts, realizing what adventures could lay ahead of him. "You know, maybe this won't be so bad afterall.." He spoke it aloud, although as far as he was aware there was no one to hear it.
Not that it mattered, his luck was changing, and soon enough, he was sure adventure would find him.
Shaking and shivering miserably, Lovino kept walking through the woods he was currently lost in. Perhaps, upon reflection, getting pissed at Antonio and then storming off without paying attention hadn't been the smartest of things. But then again... neither was headbutting the man in the chest - he really didn't know why he'd done that... he'd never head-butted someone before - for touching his hair curl by accident. And it was by accident, he flushed guiltily. His Boss had been reaching out to touch his face when he'd brushed against it and Lovino had seen red for no reason.
Storming off into the woods was the next most stupid thing he'd done. It was dark here and scary. And he was alone. With only the gun he refused to use to protect him from things like wolves or bears. "Antonio..." he whined under his breath, stopping to sit down on a fallen tree beside a lake. "Come find me you stupid bastard." He sighed, staring blankly at his reflection for a moment. Then the sound of a crow cawing in the distance made him jump and scream.
He didn't want to die out here!
The wilderness was quiet, or at least as quiet as a wild place could be. He could hear birds and small animals, and the sound of running water not too far away. Henry took a step forewards, hearing a twig snap loudly under his foot. A few birds took off from the trees, but nothing too startling, he expected there to be some natural response to the sound. He continued along in silence, heading towards the sound of the running water. He was sure if he followed the flow of the stream he'd find one of two things, treasure or people. There were a few long minutes of silence as he traveled, until he felt his foot catch on a root.
That was all it took to send him crashing to the forest floor, starting a crow from it's perch with a loud angry caw. It was then he heard the scream somewhere off beyond where he was. Carefully he picked himself up off the ground, looking around for where the sound had come from. Getting his sense of direction back momentarily, he moved off towards it, if only to discover why someone had been screaming. He didn't really have the common sense to move away from a scream, since usually it meant danger. If anything, it only made him more curious.
It took him a short while to near the lake, realizing that the body of water was likely what the large stream flowed into. So perhaps he wasn't bound to find treasure or people, but-
He paused, peering out from behind a tree. No, he wasn't dreaming, there was a person there. He looked a little...startled. Perhaps he was the one that had screamed? Henry's face lit up a little bit as he stepped out from behind the tree and moved towards the figure. He kept a relatively safe distance from him, but only because he wasn't sure if this stranger was armed and dangerous or not. "Uh....h-hello?" He squeaked it a little nervously. He wasn't really shy, but first meeting people made him a little nervous.
