For such a large manor, it is necessary to have an immense kitchen to supply enough food for all the potential guests. Equipped with state of the art everything and a giant walk in freezer, this place is prepared to make culinary delights for the most picky of all nobility.

Amidst the organized chaos of the kitchens, people ran back and forth, food was proccessed and put out on trays for servers to grab and take out amongst the guests. The noise was intense, but the well trained men and women carried on with grim efficiency, with the Head Chef lording over all, directing with a wave of a spatula.
(for anyone sneaking in through the kitchens, feel free to bustle in and look like you know what you're doing)

The kitchen had been so busy when they had arrived. Making it much easier for herself, Ludwig and Kayta able to slip in unnoticed. That and their disguises had aided in them blending in. Still though, Lily could not help but shift nervously as she looked around the crowded kitchen; trying her best not to get in anyones way. Her fingers shifted, fiddling with the apron of her uniform; a plain black dress accented with silver buttons and a simple white apron. Her eyes drifted around the busy kitchen trying to spot the other members of the Imperial Eagle that had decided to sneak in through the kitchen.
The Imperial Eagle, she paused quietly, tucking choppy blonde hair behind her ear. It still felt odd to be apart of a different crew, and an airship one no less. Looking down for a brief moment she wondered again how the others on the Grim were fairing. Hopefully they were safe. She couldn't help but wonder if she would ever meet them again. Even if they did, would they be angry with her for joining another crew? The mere thought made her stomach flip flop uneasily. Surely they would be angry with her for joining an enemy crew. She wouldn't blame them if they hated her.
"Oi, move it girly!" Squeaking she stumbled out of the way as one of the waiters (or maybe chefs) bustled by her. Pressed against the wall her eyes darted around before she caught sight of Ludwig standing above the rest of the work staff. Quickly she weaved her way through the crowds, reaching out and grabbing hold of the German's sleeve when she was close enough.
Hopefully this plan was going to work.

This had been an eventful night, to say the very least. The crew had successfully infiltrated the palace with a surprising amount of ease; it might have been due to the fact that they were a skilled group, or the staff was just too distracted from the going-on's to notice what they were doing. Even the poor saps that Ludwig knocked out to steal their clothes for Roderich and Gilbert never saw it coming. Thankfully, the waiters had their own closet with extra uniforms, so he didn't have to beat anyone up for clothes. But, now that everyone had their disguises (Katya found the usual kitchen staff uniform easily), the plan could come to fruition.
And the night had barely begun.
The kitchen was terribly busy, cooks and waiters ran to and fro; almost tripping each other constantly. Ludwig tried to look like he knew what he was doing, but it wasn't that hard. Most were much too distracted.
He was only a little startled when he felt someone tug at his sleeve. He turned, and when he didn't see anyone, he looked down. He grinned at the tiny girl. "You alright, Lily?" He asked. "Are you ready to go?"

When Katya had proffered her tentative suggestion to sneak into the ball through the kitchens, the Ukrainian had assumed that she would be working in a familiar arena, and thus wouldn’t be able to hinder her comrades through her bumbling. Once the two Germanics proceeded into the foray, however, the Slavic woman took one wide-eyed and sweeping look into the bustling industry of the castle kitchen, with its warm press of urgent bodies, bubbling stove-tops, and clamoring voices shouting orders over the pans, the blonde’s timid heart trembled anew with flourishing anxiety.
Katyusha bit her lip, breath hitching with the effort it took not to cry, and cringed against the scullery door. She had managed to find a uniform, tak—a simple affair of black, white, and silver, just as she expected—but even though she looked for the biggest and most generous bodice she could find, the buttons still strained quietly beneath the cloth of her apron. Thoroughly embarrassing, and a terror for her nerves, besides. And she would have to leave her gun near the scullery door, hidden against the wall where no one could find it.
What was she thinking, volunteering for such an operation? She was a cook, tak, but even relying on her years as household help, Katya was used to small kitchens, with fewer helpers. She had no experience in an environment like this, with so many strangers. Here, she was an outsider, automatically conspicuous—if she made one simple mistake, and gave everyone away…
The Ukrainian sniffled, wiping the corners of her eyes across her sleeves, and tried to steel herself. Kapitan, Pan Ludwig and Edelstein, and Mis Lily were all counting on her to hold their escape—she couldn’t afford to break down on them now. Not when this had been her decision. Taking one last shuddering breath, Katya straightened up, dusting her apron off, and stepped into the gauntlet, almost immediately finding her use in keeping watch over the steaming pots and fishing out the boiled dumplings.
Once she had a moment, she took a glance around for Ludwig and Lily, bustling over with some loaded trays for them to take out onto the Dance Floor. She offered a shaky smile, a brief nod of luck-wishing, before pressing the dishes into their hands and bustling off again.
Tonight was going to be a long night.

Happy to see a familiar face, she smiled, before nodding. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Though that didn't mean she knew exactly what they were suppose to do. She was sure though once they got onto the Dance Floor it would be clear, right? Worrying her lower lip she kept a nervous hold on Ludwig's sleeve, looking around the busy kitchen in an attempt to spot where Katya was. Lucky enough, the Ukrainian woman appeared in front of them.
Before she could say a word though, Katya had handed them trays loaded with snacks to take out to the Dance Floor, and then, after a small smile, had left to be lost in the bustling kitchen. Holding the tray she took a deep breath, before looking up at Ludwig. "Let's go..."

Ludwig gave Lily a reassuring smile. "Don't worry," he said quietly "stick to the plan, and everything will be fine. I promise."
It surprised him that Katya was able to find them in the crowded place, but he nodded to the nervous woman when she appeared. Knowing that she was terribly busy, he muttered a quick thank you as he took the trays of food she handed to him. He felt sorry for the poor woman. The kitchen was a complete gong show, and she was going to be right in the middle of it for the whole night. But it was imperitive for her to stay in the kitchens. They needed her backup.
Nodding to Lily and gesturing to get going, the beefy blonde and tiny girl made their way through the crowds, and exited through the doors. They quickly went through the halls, following fellow servants to find their own personal entrance to the ballroom, avoiding as many people as they possibly could. It was wonderfully convenient to have their own entrance so they could avoid the one for the guests. He would rather not meet the man who had "invited" them.
Luckily, they ran into no problems getting there, and he quickly memorized where the entrance was. Just in case.
He smiled at Lily. "This is it."
They walked into the ball, hoping everything would go as planned.

Within the first ten minutes, Katya was too busy to pay much mind to her anxieties. The hustle and bustle of the kitchen settled into her bones, and the constant maneuvering between the other staff members prompted little time for anything but the task at hand. She made sure to take occasional rounds to the pantry, and make sure her gun was safely concealed, usually under the pretense of retrieving more ingredients.
Granted, a lot of the hors d'oeuvres the wait-staff was currently peddling out had been arranged at least an hour before festivities began, but catering was a constant duty, especially for the rich. It made Katya’s mind spin, frankly.
The only constant problem was squeezing past others—her generous bosom made the task far more cumbersome than it should have, and she murmured apologies as if they were prayers for every time her clumsiness got the best of her. She prayed that she wasn’t attracting undue attention.
At the moment, she was doing her part in mixing some sort of batter of egg yolk, butter, flour and water. Apparently, it was for something called “quiche.” She kept her head down, humming lightly, and opened her ears to listen for any informative kitchen gossip. Just in case.
