James could only grin even more when she said she would. Had he been feeling better he might've jumped in joy like an excited kangaroo. Of course, just thinking about it made his wound ache. Right, right now all he wanted to do was get on the ship, find out if the Captain and Lily were alright, and then lay down. Granted, the lying down probably would have to wait. He was in for a lecture.
"I'll be feelin' fit as a fiddle." He assured her, laughing a little, even as his side gave another little ache. Really, he would have liked her to stay. But that wasn't fair to her. Plus, her crew mates were probably wondering where she was.
Waving goodbye he nodded, calling out after her. "Yeah! See you again soon!"
He stayed where he was, waiting until she was out of sight before he pushed himself upright and made his way onto the ship. His face was starting to hurt from grinning too much, but he couldn't help it...
He hoped he would see Katyusha again, very, very soon.
